Bundesliga Golden Era?

Bundesliga Golden Era?

  • This week’s highlights : Bayern Munich v Borussia Monchengladbach.

Friday 9th of August sees the kick-off of the first game of the 2013-2014 Bundesliga I season, with current Bundesliga Champions (and Champions League winners) Bayern Munich beginning the defence of their historic treble-winning season by hosting one of the longest team names in German football – Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga I is envied by Europe’s fans for a number of reasons – The quality of German football has undeniably been on the rise over the past few years, as evidenced by their recent performances in European competition. Also, while being extremely competitive in European competition, they still provide a high standard of football to their fans for affordable prices – causing the Bundesliga I to be (on average) the most attended football games in Europe.

Bayern Munich’s Chief Executive (Karl-Heinz Rummenigge) has previously said, “German stadiums are always full because we implement a social policy to keep our tickets affordable to the poor, being as low as €7 with Bayern” – which can only bode well for our customers in Germany!

It should be known that Bayern Munich begin the season with (even more) reinforcements than last, having recruited a number of high-profile signings over the summer – Mario Götze from domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund, and pipping Manchester United to the signature of promising Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara. Not to mention that they also recruited one of the most sought-after coaches in world football over the summer – Pep Guardiola.

A busy summer indeed in Munich. Can they repeat their treble of winning the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League again? We should expect to see lots of betting interest in this team over the coming months.
