The BMW Championship is the third leg in the FedEx Cup series and players will be looking to qualify for the Tour Championship, for which only 30 players are eligible and in a position to compete for the 10 million bonus given to the player that wins the FedEx Cup. There is a new host course this week at Conway Farms in Illinois where accuracy will be more important than distance.

Steve Stricker has a light schedule and is able to compete at this level after lengthy breaks from the game. He was second in the Deutsche Bank Championship two weeks ago and has the skills to contend again. Zach Johnson is the type of accurate player who can compete on course that require solid approach play. Matt Kuchar has the skills and experience to handle the demands of the new venue for the PGA Tour.

Stricker has enough in his record to beat Justin Rose and that player has had a dip in form since winning the US Open in June. Johnson can come out best of the match of the accurate hitters against Jim Furyk. Henrik Stenson can build his win two weeks ago by outscoring Adam Scott over 72 holes.
