Can Jordan win at Harbour Town?

Can Jordan win at Harbour Town?

  • The RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links should be a relatively easy tournament to call from a betting perspective, but I’ve had limited success over the past 5 seasons, so I’m hoping for better fortune this time around. One thing though is for certain. It’s extremely difficult to contend at Augusta, and then do exactly the same thing at Harbour Town only 4 days later.

However the question in my mind is can Jordan Spieth achieve this feat? For me Spieth is the ‘real deal’ and is an extreme talent, who will be winning PGA Tour titles and Majors well into the future. Right now, he is at the beginning of that career curve (frightening really) and there are no doubts that he’s frustrated not to have backed up his maiden win at the John Deere Classic last season.

That sheer desire and hunger could actually buck the RBC Heritage trend this week, on a course where he finished in the Top 10 12 months ago on course debut. Throw in a factual snippet that Louis Oosthuizen lost in a Play Off to Bubba Watson in the 2011 Masters, hopped on a jet to Kuala Lumpur and won the Maybank Malaysian Open the following weekend and I’m starting to wonder why I didn’t include Jordan in my weekly tips at Golf Betting System.

For me Spieth who jumped into the automatic Ryder Cup qualifying spots last week has got a serious live chance this week in South Carolina at a general 16/1.

    Nice post Steve,

Unfortunately Jordan Speith is currently being offered at 260 on Betfair so I guess he is all but out of the running 🙁

Luke Donald is the clear fav at 2.68

and interestingly it wasn’t Jordan Spieth who bucked the trend, but Matt Kuchar! If you look at the winners circle last week, Kuchar, Jiminez and Westwood all sat in the Top 7 at Augusta + have the motivation of the upcoming Ryder Cup.
