    The Open Championship gets underway at Royal Liverpool on Thursday 17th July.

    Last year’s tournament provided an exhilarating finish as Phil Mickelson delivered a dramatic come-from-behind victory at Muirfield to lift the Claret Jug for the first time in his career.

    The action promises to be every bit as exciting this year, as the world’s elite battle it out for the third major of the year.

    A host of top players will be looking to claim one of the most coveted prizes in golf, including former champion Tiger Woods who, returning from injury, revisits the scene of his triumph in 2006.

    Reigning US Open champion Martin Kaymer, current world number one Adam Scott and two-time major winner Rory McIlroy will also hope to be in contention.

    Rory (4/1 with bet365) could win The Open by five shots but Sergio (14/1 with Skybet) is right there and I still think this is the week that El Nino becomes a man.

    In Friday’s 3 balls I like Lowry, Karlsson, Scott, Matsuyama and Stenson.
