The KLM Open on the European Tour returns to Kennermer Golf Club in Holland, a course that puts a premium on accuracy over distance. At less than 7000 yards the course is short by modern standards which means the big hitters will not have an advantage over the rest of the field. The tournament formerly known as the Dutch Open has never been won by a Dutchman and Joost Luiten will be looking to break that trend.
Alex Noren has the best course form of the entire field and is suited to this week’s host course. Marcus Fraser combines solid course and current form and excels in the accuracy disciplines. If Luiten can handles the pressure he looks a leading contender this week.
Anders Hansen has the experience and course management skills to plot his away around this tricky course well enough to outscore Chris Wood over 72 holes. Paul Waring is more suited to the course than Mikko Ilonen. Rafael Cabrera-Bello’s greater experience can see him beat Tommy Fleetwood who is competing on the course for the first time.
